Galata Tower
Galata Tower is a 55 meter long tower providing a panoramic view of the old town. It was built by the Genoese as part of the wall surrounding their district of Galata directly opposite Byzantium (Constantinopolis) and used for the surveillance of the Harbor in the Golden Horn.
